What can I make/create with vintage women's handkerchiefs?

I have a stack (approx. 20) of beautiful handkerchiefs that belonged to my husband's grandmother. Right now, they're just sitting in a closet; I'd like to do something creative with them to display their hand stitched detail and/or beautiful edgings.

I have been col­lect­ing them for years, pick­ing them up at flea mar­kets and junk shops in sin­gles or pairs. I’ve accu­mu­lated a fairly tidy col­lec­tion. if you wanted to really get util­i­tar­ian, you could actu­ally use them as, well, han­kies. Or per­haps as small nap­kins for cock­tail hour.
